Public Art St. Paul and the Central Corridor Public Art planning team invite you to a series of conversations about how artists and communities can collaborate on projects that explore the long-term health, sustainability and urbanism of the Central Corridor.

During June, we will be hosting public meetings along the Central Corridor route to update communities on our progress to date and initiate conversations between community members and artists on how they can formulate projects that respond to the Corridor’s urban futures.

In July, we’ll be hosting three public meetings along the Central Corridor to discuss in detail projects related to the urban futures of the corridor — food systems, water systems, creative places and gathering spaces. Community members and artists will form collaborative teams to discuss project concepts and priorities.

June: A Living Plan for Public Art

(Each meeting will cover the same information. People are invited to come to whichever meeting is most convenient, in terms of time and location.)

July: Shaping Community Futures through Public Art

Our goal for these meetings is to connect communities to long-term initiatives between public art and the future of the corridor – in stormwater infrastructure, gathering places, urban food systems and other topics important to each community.

To do this, we will bring together artists, active community members and others who can jumpstart collaborative, cross-cutting conversations about opportunities and projects. Through these workshops, the planning team will build maps of resources, organizations, networks and opportunities.  Please join us!
