Why Saint Paul? When people love where they live, they invest time, energy, and ideas to make it an even better place. The love and pride Minnesotans feel for our capital city surpasses most cities in the nation. With your pride and creative energy, big dreams for Saint Paul’s future can become a reality through the Idea Open. Whether you’ve lived, worked, or played in the state’s capital for three months or three generations, we want your best and brightest ideas to make Saint Paul a strong and vital city of the future.
The Idea Open is an annual statewide ideas Challenge that brings Minnesotans together to learn about issues affecting the state, develop creative new solutions and be inspired to act. This year’s marquee sponsor is The Saint Paul Foundation, which is awarding a $1 million grant to a single, winning idea that will become a reality.
So start thinking about your million-dollar idea. Submissions will be accepted from February 13 to April 3. Visit for the complete guidelines and criteria or contact them at 612.217.1580
