Friendly Streets Initiative invites you to April 25th Better Bridges Bash!

April 17, 2015

By Robyn Hendrix, Artist Organizer, Friendly Streets Initiative

On Saturday, April 25th from 12 – 4pm, Friendly Streets Initiative (FSI), the Lexington-Hamline Community Council and neighborhood partners invite you to the Better Bridges Bash to celebrate the new Griggs bikeway and pedestrian bridge!  This is also a great opportunity for community members to come together and share ideas about what kinds of transportation infrastructure, public art, placemaking and wayfinding ideas would improve the north-south connections over the freeway and up to the Green Line.

Come enjoy…

  • Free food from Flamingo Restaurant and Pizza Luce
  • Live music by local performance artists
  • Fun art activities for adults and children
  • Pop-up street soccer and basketball
  • …and more!
The event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public.  Bring your family and friends for activities and fun and help contribute to improving our bridges!  For more information, click here.  Check out the Facebook event page here
