Green Line celebrations continue throughout the summer

Sponsors, partners build momentum for the corridor

July 17, 2014
During the Green Line opening weekend, hundreds of local organizations, businesses, nonprofits, performers and artists came together to create community celebrations along the line. In addition to the countless hours of planning and preparation, the festivities would not have happened without the generous support of sponsors. The Funders Collaborative would like to send a very special thank you to the sponsors below for their contributions towards creating a memorable and successful Green Line launch.

Watch this short video shown at Target Field festivities on Friday, June 13, that recognizes these important sponsors in addition to highlighting the Energy Innovation Corridor (from 2:45- 5:30).

There are plenty of opportunities to continue celebrating along the line this summer, such as C4wards: Celebrate arts and culture along the Green Line. These free special events explore and celebrate the diversity of the Twin Cities. Upcoming events include:

  • July 26: Little Mekong
  • August 9: Rondo/ Creative Frogtown
  • August 23: Little Africa
  • September 6: Creative Enterprise Zone
  • September 20: Prospect Park
  • October 4: West Bank
Or how about an interactive audio tour of Green Line art, offered by Metro Transit and Minnesota Public Radio.

Just one more week remains to share your big ideas for St. Paul in the Knight Green Line Challenge.  Submit ideas through July 24, 2014.

Starting August 21, visit "From There to Here", an exhibition that explores the ways that public transportation intersects with community and connects people to places and the opportunities they offer. Though October 19in the MMAA Project Space of the Pioneer Endicott Building.

See you on the line!

Thank you, Green Line Launch Sponsors!
